Department Activity
- Administration for providing grants and contributions to support cultural activities and art in the city
- Creation and update of cultural subjects in the city
- Support and care for local cultural activities
- Cooperation with cultural subjects in the city, coordination of events, creation of the “Summer in the City” and “Advent in the City ” calendars
- Cooperation with the city council’s cultural commission
- Administration of the city’s budget
- Administration of “City Prizes” and contributions supporting young talented České Budějovice artists
- Administration of awards for young talent
- Administration of the bulletin – City Chronicle of the Past Calendar Year
- Planning cultural events organised by the city – important anniversaries, traditional feasts, summer season, events for children, youth and senior citizens in the relevant calendar year and implementation of these events
- Records, repairs conservation of monuments, memorial plaques and sculptures recorded by the department of culture
- All-year dramatics and coordination of exhibitions in the town hall exhibition room
- Coordination of activities with other department of the city authority and implementation of cultural and social events
