The Department of Social Affairs of the Municipal Authority of České Budějovice is in charge of the following:
- the operation of state administration in agreement with its delegated scope of activity, and its extended scope of activity. It carries this out in the department of family benefits, the department of unemployment benefits, the department of benefits for the elderly and the handicapped, the department of social prevention and the department of social and legal protection of children
- the operation of self-government in the field of social welfare in the České Budějovice urban area by means of the department of social assistance
